Governance for Owners seeks a new senior partner with extensive public company board experience to learn the art of relational share owner engagement alongside world leaders in this challenging and difficult role. This involves applying private equity type support to large and small cap quoted companies in European markets to help share owners improve the quality and value of the companies in which they invest.

We are seeking an individual who is able to identify companies whose strategy, financing or governance is impairing performance and to identify and evaluate possible remedies. S/he would develop effective relationships with portfolio companies, shareholders and others in the investment community to encourage the board and management to bring about the requisite change.

The successful candidate will have strong powers of persuasion and credibility at board level. Highly numerate, s/he will be a strategic thinker, with a creative approach to problem solving and a career history encompassing a variety of company cultures - no particular sector expertise is required. By nature this work is collegiate and involves a willingness to support the activities of other partners. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a growing business, will be willing to invest in it and will be excited by the challenge of influencing its development.

The ideal candidate will have served on boards of public companies, probably as a CFO. A working knowledge of the investment community and Continental European experience would be an advantage. A performance-based package with considerable, medium term, upside potential is offered.
