Investment and corporate expertise specialists join GO team

Governance for Owners (GO), the independent partnership specialising in
shareholder engagement funds and stewardship activities, announced today that
Christy Wood and Bruno Allmendinger have joined its Advisory Board. These
appointments bring the executive and advisory team to 38, covering 14 nationalities.

Christy Wood is Senior Investment Officer at CalPERS, which has invested in
Governance for Owners Group LLP and made a $200m investment in the GO
European Focus Fund. Christy is responsible for implementing and managing
investment strategy and policy for CalPERS’ publicly traded equity investments
worldwide, and for a team that manages more than $100 billion in domestic and
international equity assets. She also oversees CalPERS’ hedge fund program,
domestic long/short program, corporate governance, cash management, and
manager development program.

Bruno Allmendinger was until recently CFO and a member of the Executive
Committee of Sulzer, a Swiss-listed company which is active in machinery and
equipment manufacturing and surface engineering in over 120 locations worldwide.
Bruno joined Sulzer in 1971 and has held a range of finance-related roles during his career with the company. Bruno is also a member of the Sanctions Commission of the SWX Swiss Stock Exchange, a trustee of the Sulzer Pension Fund and head of its investment committee and a member of the committee of the Swiss Association of Financial Executives. Bruno stepped down from his executive function on March 1and will retire from his full time position with Sulzer by the end of June 2007.

Christy and Bruno join existing Advisory Board members Eric Tracey, Anne Simpson, Jim Burton, Prof Klaus Pohle, Prof Philippe Haspeslagh and Chairman Bob Monks. GO Group board directors, Sir John Egan, Derek Scott and Ronnie Armist also attend Advisory Board meetings.
